TARP: Temporary Assistance for Roof Problems

Paul drew this comic while very ill, which is a testament to his dedication to our fans. As with any illness, he may not survive it. That would really make me mad, as we don’t have much of a comic buffer.

Speaking of coming back from the dead, have you downloaded our Tonight Show Graveyard wallpaper yet? It’s practically guaranteed to make your computer screen the envy of everyone you know. Even if they eventually download the wallpaper after seeing it on your monitor, you will still be regarded as the apex of awesomeness because you were the very first to reach such a glorious height of brillance.

You know, its paragraphs like the one above that may explain why people tend not to believe a word I say.

This happened at our office. Every time the roof would leak, the landlord would patch the ceiling. Every time it rained, the ceiling patch would come down. Eventually, they cut a hole in the roof and revealed the rotted timbers. But they one-upped WAH – they laid a ladder across the hole for support, and then covered THAT up with a tarp. They tarred around the edges to make it water tight. I have a photo.

Great story. Unfortunately the bake sale didn’t make enough money for all that fancy-smancy ladder and tar stuff. The tarp is staying in place purely on hope.

It was a broken ladder that had been abandoned on the roof, so the bake sale funds would have been sufficient. I wrote a lot more about it back when it happened. http://jomegat.wordpress.com/2009/10/13/when-it-rains/

I had forgotten about the roofer tracking tar all over the carpet.
