Some quick comments on last night’s 61st Primetime Emmy Awards show:
Overall I really enjoyed the show. Neil Patrick Harris was a spectacular Emmy host. I actually met NPH once. We’ve been close buds ever since. No, he didn’t come to my Emmy party. In fact, no one showed up. I don’t want to talk about it.
Neither Late Night with Conan O’Brien nor Late Show with David Letterman won Outstanding Writing For A Variety, Music Or Comedy Series, but the videos they submitted listing their writing staffs were hysterical.
I am so glad that Kristin Chenoweth won for the absolutely awesome but now cancelled Pushing Daisies.
Family Guy was robbed.

The issue is, was the kid going to the garbage can to throw his lunch away, or was he walking up to Woody who positioned himself near the garbage can to intercept wasted food? This is a deeply philo-psychological strip — Woody could be confronting and opposing capitalism’s colossal waste of precious foodgoods, or he could be symbolizing the greed of world capitalism. Or he could just be a jerk.

I think it could be a little bit of all three.

Ben…maybe you and I are the only ones who truly understand the genius that is Bryan Fuller.
Pushing Daisies…Wonderfall…Dead Like Me. I know Heroes too but that was one that jumped after season 1

And what about that sign above the trash can … a bit hard to read from this distance … but it looks like it says “NO … running … fighting … learning.” Oddly, I had that very sign at my grammar school.
